Hi, I just thought a music heading might get more reactions. Lol. But really, this was reported in the AOL headlines but for some reason I am unable to access the link. Verrrry annoying!
I know that one of the first stops I will make upon returning to the U.S.A. after Christmas will be to a CD/DVD store to buy new music and to buy DVD's of some of the American films we've missed during the past six months. Perhaps I may find one or more of these in my Christmas stocking??
Alles gut hier. We attended an excellent jazz concert last Sunday night. It was the finale performance of the week long Koln Dellbruck Jazz Meile Festival. The band was Woodhouse Jazz Band; not much on Google to learn about them other than they seem to be a core of guys with dynamic additions such as the Indonesian lead singer Dian Pratiwi. And Germans really like traditional American (big band) jazz music.
Also, we are attempting to buy a house in El Paso via the internet and our excellent realtor (and friends on the ground there). Given the eight hour time difference we are 33% out of sync and feeling the frustration levels rise.
To the hoards (as Jon put it) who a) know about and b) read my blog, rest assured that after a week now, I am over my cold and feeling tons better. Ready to take on the neighborhood. My brain (and heart and soul?) are on the tarmac heading for the states, and wondering why no one has updated THEIR blogs lately, and why no one has WRITTEN any comments in MINE? Also would LOVE some advice on how to attach neat items in the margins like JON has...
