Hi ya'll, it's actually November 12th now, but yesterday WDR (pronounced Vee Dee Are, lol) the television station that broadcasts from Cologne (Koln) Germany featured a live feed of Heumarkt Plaza, a place we are quite familiar with. There at Heumarkt was the St. Martin's Day celebration known (I think world wide) as Koln Karneval, in amazing Mardi gras style, and upwards of 50,000 people, nay, revelers (average age 50) all in very colorful costumes, all drinking bier, all singing in full voice along with the myriad bands playing in continuous succession all day long. http://www.carnaval.com/germany/
Go here to learn a bit more about it. So, all weekend the whole region generally parties up big time. Sigh. It wore me out just watching them on television!
Meantime, I was waiting for the representative from the moving company who was scheduled to come "survey" our household goods for shipment back to the U.S. of A.
Today, Rick and I went "out and about" to a regional reservoir just as a day outing. Perhaps I can download photos later and add them: Karneval and our day trip to Bevertalsperre and Huckeswagen.
Other opinions ? Other news? feeling a bit brain dead right now and none too creative. Better write again of a morning when I'm fresh (and full of myself, lol).
Amy and Aunts Sue and Nan know about the invitation Dan got. I won't divulge family secrets herein. Neener neener. Some things are private!!
Amy can tell Jon and Paul though. I just will refrain from publishing.
Tschuss!
